I don’t know exactly what he’s doing with them, but Jeremy is good friends with Julio Tavarez (one of Empires’ many touring bassists) and Cliff Sarcona and Andrew Cook (who were all at the party), so I assume that he was just hanging out with his friends who also happen to be friends with Empires.
(The photo itself comes from the Instagram of Fitz and the Tantrums’ singer; it’s not like I pulled a party photo off some poor stranger’s account. Just a disclaimer.)
And something mysterious going on in LA on Sunday? Or about LA?

We know you haven’t heard from us in a while, but it’s all for good reason. We hope this will hold you over at least for a little bit until we are able to share what we’ve been working on.
Many of you may have spent the evening with us last September at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. It was a significant night for all of us, and we feel captured something brash and special.
It’s about where you’ve been and where that will take you.

The “music.weareempires.com” page appears to be in progress.
Two changes:
1) The change to red with the banner addition (with the reference to an EP that must be coming soon???)
2) The mp3 of Shame live in Chicago has been taken down.
I’ll keep my eyes and ears out!
